Charles asks…

How do I go to Midvalley Megamall from Berjaya Times Square?

Hi, I will be going to KL and staying in Berjaya Times Square. I would like to know how to use the public transport to get to Midvalley Megamall, may I know how much is the cost and the time spent? And is it safe for me to take the public transport?

Also will you advise me to take a cab instead? Cos I am with a family of four. How much should the cab driver be charging me?

KL Boy’s answers:

You can go to Mid Valley from Berjaya Times Square using the KL Monorail & KTM Komuter train service.

At Berjaya Times Square, you may board the KL Monorail train at Imbi station to go to KL Sentral station which is the final stop for KL Monorail. The fare for this journey is only RM 1.60 per trip.

Once you leave the station, you need to cross the busy Jalan Tun Sambanthan to go to KL Sentral which is located about 140 metres from KL Monorail station. From there, you may board the KTM Komuter train there to go to Mid Valley Megamall. The train will stop at Mid Valley station & the destination is easily accessible via the overhead bridge. The fare is only RM 1.00.

Another alternative mode of public transport from KL Sentral is via RapidKL bus which you may board at the bus stop located next to KL Sentral KL Monorail station. The RapidKL bus no B105 & B110 will also take you directly to Mid Valley Megamall (South Court) via Jalan Bangsar. The fare for this journey is RM 2.00 but the good thing is the bus ticket is valid for the whole day, so do keep the ticket if you wish to return to KL Sentral on the same day.

The whole journey will take about 30 to 45 minutes depending on the frequency of the train & bus service.

Another mode of transportation is the taxi. You may take a taxi from Berjaya Times Square but be wary of unscrupulous taxi drivers who refuse to use the meter or taxi fare coupons. They may be willing to take you there but be careful coz the fares are much more expensive if they refuse to use the taxi meter & charge you the flat rate for your destinations!!

KL Monorail (KL Sentral bound):
– Imbi < you are here

– Maharajalela
– Tun Sambanthan
– KL Sentral < disembark here (final stop)
