John asks…

Pos Malaysia in Bukit Bintang?

Can anyone tell me if there is a Pos Malaysia near KL Plaza?
If you do, can you tell me how to get there from the Bukit Bintang LRT Station?

KL Boy’s answers:

The Pos Malaysia is located at the back of KL Plaza. What you do is walk from the station towards KL Plaza then turn into right (street). Keep walking until you reach the end of KL Plaza. Turn to the left and keep on moving until you reach the corner of the other end of KL Plaza.

Ruth asks…

Reaching KL in July?

Wanted to know if one can carry heavy luggage in a monorail? I have read it already that monorails are quite small. I have to reach JW Marriott. Will it be easier to take Putra LRT till Dang Wangi & then switch to cab? Since Monorail station is just in front of Lot 10 which is behind JW I felt it would be easier to take that but if its too small and tiny then I will have to replan. Pls advice. Flying on 5th July’ 08. Thanks in advance..

KL Boy’s answers:

If your luggage is too heavy to cart around, I suggest you take the airport limo service. Ask for the MPV service. They will take you all the way to JW Marriott doorsteps. No hustle.

Laura asks…

Bukit Bintang…………..?

Is this a safe place for a tourist? I am looking into accommodation in KL and most of the hotels in my price range (under 100rm per night) are located in this area.

Any other suggestion and alternatives for budget hotel I don’t mind if it’s outside the city center as long as it’s near a LRT station so I can find my way around.

KL Boy’s answers:

Bukit Bintang (stylized as Bintang Walk or Starhill) is the name of the shopping and entertainment district of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It encompasses Jalan Bukit Bintang and its immediate surrounding areas. The area has long been Kuala Lumpur’s most prominent retail belt that is home to many landmark shopping centres, al-fresco cafés, swanky bars, night markets, as well as hawker-type eateries. This area is popular among tourists and locals, especially among the youths.

Malaysia and or Bukit Bintang is safe for anyone including tourist.

Bukit Bintang Budget Hotel:- You can try:-
Hotel Cube, Kuala Lumpur: the rate is about RM66. Cube Hotel is located in Jalan Pudu and near Bukit Bintang. You can just walk within 5-10 minutes to this Golden Triangle. The nearest bus station is Puduraya (main bus station in Kuala Lumpur).
