Kl Lrt

Chris asks…

How to get Bukit Bintang area to LCCT or KL International airport?

Im just wondering what are my options, Since my flight is 6:45am leaving KL. I am assuming that the LRT or the train service is not operational ( but still not sure with this)

Can anyone can tell me, if train is possible or should bus or taxi is a good option and do you know how much will it cost me? thanks

KL Boy’s answers:

Hi there,
There are skybuses available from Sentral Train Station at Brickfields to LCCT cost RM9 starting from 3am and travel time about an hour. I don’t think the monorail are available at this hour so your only option is to take a taxi from Bukit Bintang to Sentral. I have no idea how much it will cost with the midnight charges but should not be more than RM20. Visit the site below to look at the time schedule of the skybus and where to purchase the tickets.

Does Any1 Knows How To Go To Menara Weld KL via Public Transport?

I am staying at Kuala Lumpur Cheras Cityview. I know i can either take the star lrt train to hang tuah stesen then from there im not sure or i can also take a rapid KL bus, but would like to know what number of the rapid KL bus can i take? And which is better with less jam and reach faster? Please help. Im starting work on wednesday at Menara Weld.

KL Boy’s answers:

The station nearest to Menara Weld is Dang Wangi (Putra LRT) and Bukit Nenas (Monorail). However, you need to walk some distance to the Weld from there (around 10-15 minutes).

Your other alternative would be taking any rapid KL bus going to BUKIT BINTANG. There are buses running from Cheras to Bukit Bintang and most, if not all, passes by The Weld. Tell the Driver/Conductor to tell you when they reach The Weld.

Do note that The Weld is strategically located in a very jammed place. My friend works in another building nearby and always takes the LRT. She had to take the earliest 7am SHARP bus from Jalan Genting Klang to reach her office on time at 8:30 AM. Now that she’s taking the LRT, she only needed to be at the LRT station at about 7.45 – 8.00 AM.

The Hang Tuah station (Star LRT) is quite far as it is located nearby Times Square. I don’t think any of the buses that stops by there will pass through The Weld,so you might need to catch one next to Sg. Wang, in front of McDonalds/Giordano. Check the website below for confirmation.

Try going there before Wednesday. Get to know where to stop and which are the buses available. Check the rapid KL bus website if you want to be really really sure which bus to take, as there are plenty, even other lines like Metro. Also, on Wednesday, try taking the earliest bus you can get and try to estimate the total journey time to work. After a few days or at least 1 week after CNY you will know which bus to take.

Good luck!
